Life in a Belly!!

We are gifted unlike other animals to perform different tasks that are beyond our natural abilities and habitat and also live a life out the physical, mental, geographical and intellectual boundaries of birth. We basically have an option to live a life and adopt a lifestyle that we wish to, unlike our lesser privileged subordinates of the evolution tree. We can be a fish that swims; an ape that jumps; a bird that flies or a bull that tows and tugs, and drive by this need or feel we are or we wish to be something and somebody our body and mind is comfortable with, and it should remain so. Animals on the other hand do not enjoy this freedom, they are anatomical and physically of the same build, and irrespective of their emotional need they are bound be restricted by certain limitations of their physiology. There are no skinny elephants, or fat lions or furry lizards, unless of course their geographical and evolutionary needs drive them to mutate into another species altogether....

Tyler Durden and Me!!

This blog is just an afterthought/ after-effect of watching the movie “Fight Club”. More specifically a dialogue in the movie – “If I could wake up in a different place, at a different time, could I wake up as a different person?” Pondering over that line, I have been wondering if there’s another side to me, a person whom I fight to keep confined in the steely wraps of my sub-conscious mind. Who is waiting to make me a conscious less slave of his? And I found, there is one, probably not as dominant and adventurous as Tyler Durden, but I feel I’m indeed fighting to keep the other person bound to an image/perception of me by the society by exerting my conscious dominion over my thoughts, activities and responses to match or fit with the rest of herd. As an example to such nature: I’m not much of a people's person, I really am not overly disturbed by the atrocities and pains of the world, the suicides, homicides, earthquakes, tsunamis and other humanly miseries, I am not consciousl...

A Certain Kind

A certain kind succeed , indeed. It takes special people to take simple activities like hard-work, sincerity and commitment to one's objectives and make them special, and achieve what others have not achieved (keeping aside moral compass of good or bad). It takes special interest and passion to catapult oneself into bigger platitudes and become noticeable and more important to disrupt the established ways of life. They are often the people who inspire happiness and also the ones who contribute to the successes of various other persons who belong to the same kind. These people can live off of their dreams and goals, and the rush of achieving them, there are not here to survive but they are here to succeed, to change the earth, to break the establishment and often be what the want to be, or more than that, they hardly ever let an opportunity bypass them and if there are no opportunities they will carve out one. These kind aren't fazed by the judgement and scrutiny others an...

Love of Passion

Do you know how to feel love, for the very first time, and to feel it again and again every single time!!?  In this brief and rather inexperienced life that I have lived, I have fallen in love for a number of times than that I can count. And on every such occasion I can feel a rush of energy, emotions, zeal, aspirations and a great sense of hope towards life. Isn't it amazing, that, how bundling a bunch of positive buzz words to describe something that the world has talked about over a zillion times in over a zillion ways, and yet there is always something  amiss, a void. There’s a lacuna in those descriptions that no words can fill. It’s one of many such things about life that has to be felt, experienced and cherished in all its fullness and emptiness, in times that it worked and in times it didn't, and also the times that you made a fool of yourselves trying to make it work. But then, always its best description is in the heart, mind, body and soul of the person experi...

Bharatha as I see it..

I’m writing this post, inspired by a whatsapp argument I had with my bunch of friends. I wanted to pen my thoughts independent of an argument cause its easier to be carried away by the heat of the argument and one might misquote or misinterpret one’s understanding of a subject as grey as the Mahabharata. The main issue of contention was that the idea of Kauravas vs the Pandavas, and how the whole of Mahabharatha was biased towards glorifying the Pandavas. My friends also opined that Pandavas had no legal right over the throne of Kuru vamsha.  I would like to clarify that Pandavas never staked claim to the throne of Hastinapur, being valid and rightful Princes of the Kuru vamsha they sought rightful co-existence with the Kauravas. The only rightful character in the whole of Mahabharata after Shantanu who had all the qualities of a King but choose to forego the same over a promise he had made to his father and step-mother Bhishma was supposed to take care of both Dritharastra’s...

Political Sanyaaas!!!!

For a long time now I have kept away from politics in my blog...  Nobody reads it, nor does it convey anything.. We have been living under the notion that an Idea/Thought/philosophy is good only if it sells... I must not be outraged, if my identity is sold. If I’m scammed everyday.. my food prices cease to be under reach... Scams are no more new to us, we have had a legacy of such scams... we have been used to it. It’s just another news event that's it..  Well when most choose to ignore and carry on with their lives, a little curious citizen tries to know the scammed amount and the scamster, there ends his little duty towards the nation, or a few self claimed responsible citizens discuss it at office lobbies, coffee shops, family get-togethers, online forums and blogs.  Politics was a subject of choice for me to pick a conversation, talk ideologies, policies, acts, debates and most of the Election and the Pompous Campaigns. I just hate it out right...

Pyarge Aagbittaithe

Pyarge Aagbittaithe... A different way of saying, I’m in love.. Yes in indeed I’m in love, After a very long time I have truly liked a song from a mainstream Kannada movie. That too for so many elementary reasons like the lyrics, the rendition, voice of the female singer and music. The song from the Movie Govindaya Namaha, starring Komal as Hero and newcomer as Heroine, has forced me to take a refreshingly new view towards the Kannada movie. The song carries an unique richness and touch of class which all the while missing in our movies. The director takes us on a journey through Indian Cinemas, right from the setup of the classic B&Ws, the Eastman Color to the present Digital Colors, and makes a striking expression on How the essence of Love and grandeur is expressed in our songs. The music starts from the old Indian cinema music, with only the harmonium and a few other instruments like the tabla and shahanai, and gradually moves on to the digital beats, again not losing the tun...
It’s been a long break, and in the due course I have found out quite a few bits of truth about life and it’s dynamics, as I happened to search for things that make me happy., (things – in this context all definable and indefinable entity people, feelings, objects of pleasure and luxury, places etc., any conceivable thought). I might sound, maybe rude, narcissistic, as a person who thrives on material expanse, and as someone who likes to treat people in the similar manner, well I really wish I could be like that at least in that case I would keep myself happy if not others. So during this search – I have accepted some things, learnt from a few, refuted with some and also exploited some, all these have in their due capacities left an indelible mark that have molded my thought process extensively. Every time I have been involved with something I have sincerely tried to indulge myself into it, and soak myself up with every form of returns it offers and purpose and joy of my lif...

Should I look back..

All that bothered me in the last few weeks of December of 2010, was that I had to post an article on this blog for the calendar year. But, eventually it ended up differently. I was troubled with the Why? questions, as if that was not enough I was troubled with the What? questions.. and to add to these I'm now caught with the Hows? and the Whens? Excuse me, if i'm bothering u with all these question marks, I'll try to add some clarity to those. Now let me address the Whys? I have always found this particular question the most fascinating, confusing and scaring of all the questions. This one as the power to Question anything, it just changes the very rationale and reason behind any thought. Now the why I had to confront was, Why am not able to pick a passion of my liking and not nurture it duly for whatever gratification it can offer; be it material, social, intellectual, professional or spiritual... I have not been able to reach these elusive aspects and I want...

Not Normal, but yet not Different

The inconsistent or an out of place, I don’t know which would define my personality aptly, but I have been a misfit, for most of my life… yes each one of us do carry a strain of individuality, that makes life so special, but I carry or don’t carry some of it that puts me on a medium which is neither left, right nor center. I look back, every often these days to try and answer the 2 most dreaded interview questions, (at least in my case) “Tell us about Your Self” and “ Your Most Important Achievement”… an unanswered PAUSE becomes a CONTINUOUS reply… I have meticulously tried over a couple of months, to list down a set of achievements and also find an acceptable definition for a mostly redundant term called PRAMOD PAVULURI, and the answer is inconsistent and indefinite. I have been a perfect imperfection; I’m used to being either too ahead or too behind the life around me… I started blabbering small, imperfect words when I was 6 months old, pretty early start I’m to...

THRILLER moves into HISTORY!!!

Mj aged 50 dies!!! The star who holds the greatest hits of music records, is no more. An era solely dominated by his musical acumen and dancing agility, comes to an end... One cannot stop admiring the genius of Michael Jackson's Music, but more than that I greatly adore his Humanitarian Concerns, and his ability to connect to people, which he tried to portray in most of his songs. He was a poor man who couldn't handle Success, and the turmoil that he had to endure by the selective media bias which was daunting on his frailty. He was a trendsetter, and broke many dimensions of Modern Music and Entertainment, both in terms of Singing and Choreography... He's inspired countless poor and disheartened souls to whom he very much related himself to. He was also the one who can be credited with creating a CHARITY FRENZY among the celebrities, as he himself had organized and participated in many such events. Sadly, he was demeaned of his worthy character. Some called him BAD , Some ...

Update!!!!

1) Upset by Elections and enormous amt of Boredom in IPL…’ 2) Exams like IES and Civil Services, which went pathetically bad… 3) A conundrum of Spiritual, Emotional and Material status of my Mind. 4) And mainly, my pathetic typing Skills, and impatience to key in those letters… All these have Pushed me into a temporary Blogger sanyas…. So I shall post a brief update of the April and May… Before I try to get on with usual nonsense… Not that an update matters, but just it makes this particular post lengthy enough to suffice the literary void suffered in the last 2 months … April... Glutton is Threaded!! I got my Brahmin's Tag this April, in the presence of a handful of relatives and friends (my father's), at a century old temple in the heart of Bangalore... Nice temple to visit for devotees of lord krishna.. That's the max.. expressive i can get... I'm really bad at descriptive answers, u can check my academics for that matter... I have been writing a travelogue ever sinc...

ButterFly Gyaan Continues....

I've been Obsessed with the Caterpillars, the Butterflies and Moths for quite some now... I've been drawing quite a lot of lessons and examples from these modest yet flirtatious creatures... may be I'm consoling my sub-conscious mind to think that I'm Being a Caterpillar now and a Butterfly for the Future.. well I've not yet got to lay fingers down and pinpoint the reason, but I've developed a sort of Charm towards it... The latest lesson being, the comparison of a ButterFly to its Distant Cousin the Silk Moth.... The Caterpillar and the SilkWorm both munch down loads of leaves and build similar cocoons too, while the former morphs itself into a beautiful butterfly in the Cocoon; the latter is baked up in boiling water in order to procure silk... To take some lessons from these two beings... If you are Building a Cocoon (character) around you; build it to help you thru stages of life and not merely to impress others.. though people do get attr...

An Anniversary with the Adversary

Feb 14 th evoked a lot of mixed and vexed emotions in me, not for the reason that I share my first name with the culture honcho Muthalik, but it was exactly a year before this Date, I met ‘HER’…. Yes HER refers to that special someone…. Many of you might know her, she’s pretty famous these days, but what u wouldn’t know is that I’m dating her… No, she’s not BulBul… This post is a Memoir of the bygone year with her, a repertoire of experiences she’s enriched me with… I intended to post on Valentine's Day itself, but because of the demanding nature of hers I was forced to stay away from the internet, and celebrate our anniversary elsewhere. I met her, for the first time on Feb 13 2008, She was at the HR room in the 5 th floor of my office, waiting for me there; after a couple of mins of talk, I sensed we were getting closer, I didn’t expect that it would be such, that she would be mine henceforth. I felt a Déjà vu when I saw her, I felt I had met her befor...
