Political Sanyaaas!!!!

For a long time now I have kept away from politics in my blog...

Nobody reads it, nor does it convey anything.. We have been living under the notion that an Idea/Thought/philosophy is good only if it sells...

I must not be outraged, if my identity is sold. If I’m scammed everyday.. my food prices cease to be under reach... Scams are no more new to us, we have had a legacy of such scams... we have been used to it. It’s just another news event that's it..

Well when most choose to ignore and carry on with their lives, a little curious citizen tries to know the scammed amount and the scamster, there ends his little duty towards the nation, or a few self claimed responsible citizens discuss it at office lobbies, coffee shops, family get-togethers, online forums and blogs.

Politics was a subject of choice for me to pick a conversation, talk ideologies, policies, acts, debates and most of the Election and the Pompous Campaigns. I just hate it out right now... Thanks to the family run media houses, business minded editors and most of all the senseless and shameless state of existence of the politicians, (all parties included, and National Ruling Front in particular), I'm unable to fathom the amount of brazen abuse they are inflicting on the public. What peeves me more is that even educated Urban Youth, who wield the sense of liberalism, free-thinking and secular credentials on all trivial issues, too go back to their ancestral medieval mindset in front of the pooling machine, voting/backing their family patronized caste based politics/politicians. People who do not /would not like to choose a car or a phone or an apartment like their fathers end up choosing Politicians/Parties like their Grandfathers/Great Grandfathers.

The civilian movement what started as the Lokpal and India Against Corruption happens to be a collection of  highly credible and respectable individuals coming together to be a bunch of foolish political minnows. While, the idea of providing a credible alternative to the people of the nation is great, but does that mean they have to resort to political humdrums and publicity dramas just as the rest!!!

I totally agree with the PM that this cloud of negativism is disheartening and may be even dangerous for our democracy to sustain, as our population is not as much informed or rather not as much well educated about their needs and responsibilities. If the IAC backed political front bites significantly into the next electoral, then I fear of a situation/ subsequent elections when the veteran politicians resort to .That does not mean they cannot be educated, my sincere feel to any political entity that truly wishes to bring difference to the lives of the people to EDUCATE the people on how they are going to make it better, rather than indulging in mere slander of your rivals and political charged antics. Also, all those people who think that politicians and their policies can change the fate of this country must help your fellow citizen to understand his needs and thus empowered to elect the right candidate or party that promises to address those needs.

With this I formally proclaim my political Sanyaaas...

  1. I agree with the fact people vote based on caste and their fathers choice. And sometimes even when they know its not right. I also agree about over negativism in the media. I havent seen a single story of a politician doing something good in his constituency. I cannot believe there is not a single MP or MLA who is doing good work in India. Everyone including media is selfish and want to put across only that sells. And why do we blame only politicians if everyone one is selfish and business minded in their own way.

An Anniversary with the Adversary

Feb 14 th evoked a lot of mixed and vexed emotions in me, not for the reason that I share my first name with the culture honcho Muthalik, but it was exactly a year before this Date, I met ‘HER’…. Yes HER refers to that special someone…. Many of you might know her, she’s pretty famous these days, but what u wouldn’t know is that I’m dating her… No, she’s not BulBul… This post is a Memoir of the bygone year with her, a repertoire of experiences she’s enriched me with… I intended to post on Valentine's Day itself, but because of the demanding nature of hers I was forced to stay away from the internet, and celebrate our anniversary elsewhere. I met her, for the first time on Feb 13 2008, She was at the HR room in the 5 th floor of my office, waiting for me there; after a couple of mins of talk, I sensed we were getting closer, I didn’t expect that it would be such, that she would be mine henceforth. I felt a Déjà vu when I saw her, I felt I had met her befor

Bharatha as I see it..

I’m writing this post, inspired by a whatsapp argument I had with my bunch of friends. I wanted to pen my thoughts independent of an argument cause its easier to be carried away by the heat of the argument and one might misquote or misinterpret one’s understanding of a subject as grey as the Mahabharata. The main issue of contention was that the idea of Kauravas vs the Pandavas, and how the whole of Mahabharatha was biased towards glorifying the Pandavas. My friends also opined that Pandavas had no legal right over the throne of Kuru vamsha.  I would like to clarify that Pandavas never staked claim to the throne of Hastinapur, being valid and rightful Princes of the Kuru vamsha they sought rightful co-existence with the Kauravas. The only rightful character in the whole of Mahabharata after Shantanu who had all the qualities of a King but choose to forego the same over a promise he had made to his father and step-mother Bhishma was supposed to take care of both Dritharastra’s and

Life in a Belly!!

We are gifted unlike other animals to perform different tasks that are beyond our natural abilities and habitat and also live a life out the physical, mental, geographical and intellectual boundaries of birth. We basically have an option to live a life and adopt a lifestyle that we wish to, unlike our lesser privileged subordinates of the evolution tree. We can be a fish that swims; an ape that jumps; a bird that flies or a bull that tows and tugs, and drive by this need or feel we are or we wish to be something and somebody our body and mind is comfortable with, and it should remain so. Animals on the other hand do not enjoy this freedom, they are anatomical and physically of the same build, and irrespective of their emotional need they are bound be restricted by certain limitations of their physiology. There are no skinny elephants, or fat lions or furry lizards, unless of course their geographical and evolutionary needs drive them to mutate into another species altogether.
