The DRAFT of the N-Deal has been leaked and now the Govt. has made it public, the draft says that
The Image that has painted by the Govt. for the public is that of a well informed move by the govt, risking its own majority for the better of the common man. From a skeptical point of view, look at the timing of approaching IAEA with the draft, the Country is to face general elections in about 10 months from now, although the Govt. can scrap through with the support of SP, if in case it fails to prove the majority, the Govt. the can continue in the office as minority or as a caretaker Govt according to the will of the PRESIDENT (no not Sonia Gandhi, Prathiba Patil the President of INDIA), and the Congress can put up a Brave face and begin propaganda for elections projecting Ms Gandhi and Manmohan Singh as decorated war heroes. For the LEFT, it had played story of the Wolf and the Shepard, but has finally ended its alliance with Govt. though they knew it was coming for the last 2 and a half years, thus they’ve have categorically opposed the deal, and have saved some pride for their crucial elections in WB and Kerala.
For the comment regarding that no other govt would implement such a deal, yes of course no govt would plunge into a crucial deal by keeping its populace in the dark. It looks much like personal promise on behalf of the nation, just for sense of argument, 10 years down the line if the cost of the Nuclear fuel increases stupendously where do we go to buy it in the open market. Australia, a key member of the NSG and a major source of Nuclear Fuel has already stated that it would not sell unless India signs the NPT and CTBT, this is the sort of black mailing I’m foreseeing from the
What ever may be the outcome of the deal, the manner in which it has been done and implemented is apprehensive.
